GETTING CHEAP AIRFARES

Make your reservations as soon as you have decided on travel plans. Airlines give
discounts for early bookings at least 21 days in advance. The best rates are often
those that include a Saturday night stay and have travel dates during the week.
Fly in the middle of the week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are the best days to
fly. Monday and Friday are usually the most expensive (mainly due to business travelers
often flying on these days). Saturdays can also turn up good deals. Also, try to avoid the

national holidays of China such as Chinese New Years, National Day, 1 May and summer

vacation.
Compare many different airlines' rates to find the best deals. Each airline has its hotlines

and low volume lines, try to get the low traffic lines of particular airlines.
Check into splitting your trip into two roundtrip sections.
A stopover at a midpoint could cost you less, compared to flying a direct route. Although,

make sure the savings are large enough to warrant the extra hassles of the stopover.

SAVING MONEY IN CHINA

when you are planning for an independent travel, you might need to work out a budget.

The ideal vacation will give the most fun for the least spending. The following tips might

help you save money in travels:
1. In general, the expenses on transportation command a big part of the budget. Travel

by train if you have enough time. You can save a lot in this way.

2. It is also important to select the economic vehicles after you have arrived at the travel

site. Choose from city buses, taxis or shuttle buses for special routes to scenic spots.

We will tell you this information when you arrive in CHINA.
3. Hotel expenses can also cost a lot if you do not have good choices. It is important to

bargain for the rate at each hotel. A good way is to book your room through a travel

    agent before you start traveling.
